Brandon Marcel is a musician (rapper)/artist/writer/producer based out of Milwaukee, WI. He plays the keyboard and in his own words is ”somewhat of a guitar player…not much though”. Marcel’s interest in music formed early on in life listening to mostly 90’s R&B and some rap during what is referred to as its golden era. “Groups and acts such as Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Kirk Franklin, Michael Jackson, MC Hammer and Will Smith taught me that presentation is everything and that perfection is possible, in my eyes at least”, said Marcel. “I want to be great, like Ali, like former WWE superstar The Rock was when he was performing his craft”, Brandon also stated.
Brandon is a trained artist and has won a number of art contests as well. Once his art even graced the Milwaukee Art Museum after winning one such contest. Though Brandon found art to be fulfilling and he had many achievements under his belt as a result of being an artist Brandon says that he wanted more, “I wanted to be challenged, I wanted to try something new and stretch myself artistically”, Marcel said. At age 16 Marcel recieved his first electric guitar and it changed the course of his life. “From that moment on music was to be my main thing, nothing else mattered to me, only music”, Brandon commented, “people don’t really realize how important music is in my life. From the time I wake up in the morning to late at night you can hear music playing around me, no B.S., that’s all I listen to all day, that’s it period” he said very emotionally.
One thing is for sure the music community has been blessed with the arrival of this creative soul. Though still an up and comer things day by day are looking brighter and brighter for Mr. Marcel’s career. “I’ve been playing around with new sounds trying to craft something that no one has ever heard before, a new type of music if you will. I don’t know how people will take to it, I only know that I am enjoying the process and loving the sounds that i am hearing. I am also really enjoying the writing process as well, which is also a huge part of me” Brandon stated.
Aside from music and the arts Brandon is also a business man having ran two companies in the past he looks to launch and even relaunch many in the future. “I have a dream of becoming a mogul of sorts in the business world. I think Richard Branson’s business model with the Virgin Empire is genius, even though it goes against conventional business teachings it works for him. I’m banking on the fact that it one day might work for me too. He’s at 200+ companies right now, I hope to catch up with him one day”, said Marcel quite seriously. This young entertainer and enterpreneur looks to do big things both nationally and internationally in the future as his exposure grows and his brands do the same.
